IRRIGATION PROJECT SUPERVISOR

Leibold Irrigation, Inc.

Position: Irrigation Project Supervisor

Reports To: Project Manager

FLSA Category: Exempt

Position Overview

Leibold Irrigation, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Golf Course Irrigation Project Supervisor to join our growing team. For nearly four decades, Leibold Irrigation has been doing golf course irrigation and construction in the industry.

The Irrigation Project Supervisor serves as the primary on-site field leader responsible for managing irrigation installation crews and overseeing the successful execution of golf course irrigation projects. This individual works closely with Project Managers, Golf Course Superintendents, Architects, Golf Course Construction teams, and Leibold team members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality.

The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, operational discipline, and a passion for golf course development and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise irrigation crews and daily jobsite operations.
  • Oversee all phases of golf course irrigation installation projects.
  • Read, interpret, and execute irrigation plans, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Coordinate crew schedules, lodging, transportation, and project logistics.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers, Golf Course Superintendents, Architects, d company leadership.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve field challenges.
  • Ensure projects meet established timelines, quality standards, and installation specifications.
  • Operate and oversee the use of GPS equipment and technology utilized during installation.
  • Maintain, inspect, and coordinate repairs for project equipment and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete weekly administrative responsibilities, including timecards, expense reports, purchase orders, and project documentation.
  • Lead and motivate field personnel while fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and safety.
  • Represent Leibold Irrigation with professionalism and integrity throughout all client interactions.

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Hunter, Rain Bird, and Toro irrigation systems.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment utilized in golf course construction and irrigation installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and specifications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
  • Experience utilizing GPS technology and construction equipment guidance systems.
  • HDPE Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
