Job Title: Senior Lead Electrical Engineer (Energy Transition & Resiliency)
Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Senior Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Energy & Power Solutions practice. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving energy resiliency, decarbonization, and the global energy transition. You will lead complex engineering efforts from initial concept through detailed execution, serving as a technical authority for power distribution, microgrids, and renewable energy integration. Beyond technical design, you will act as a strategic advisor to clients, mentor a growing team of engineers, and partner with business development leaders to expand our portfolio in climate-response planning and sustainable infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: Lead electrical engineering efforts for large-scale decarbonization and energy resiliency initiatives, including campus utility master planning and climate response.
• Complex Design & Analysis: Oversee the development of design calculations, construction drawings, and specifications for High/Medium Voltage substations, power generation, and microgrids.
• Technical Advisory: Serve as an Owner's Engineer or Technical Advisor, providing due diligence and expert consulting for the full project lifecycle (exploration through repowering/retirement).
• Power Systems Modeling: Perform and oversee advanced system modeling using industry-standard tools (e.g., SKM Power Tools, ETAP) to ensure system stability and protection.
• Team Mentorship: Manage and mentor junior to mid-level electrical engineering staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
• Client & Business Development: Partner with Account Managers on strategic pursuits, proposals, and project strategy to expand our energy transition services.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions for thermal utility plants (steam, chilled water) and cogeneration systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical Power Engineering.
• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required (or the confirmed ability to obtain licensure within 12 months).
• Experience: * Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering.
• A majority of background must be in Utility, Power, or Renewable Energy projects.
• Technical Mastery:
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, NavisWorks).
• Deep knowledge of Power Systems (SCADA, Protection & Control, Energy Storage).
• Experience with diverse renewable technologies (Wind, Solar, Hydro, Geothermal).
• Citizenship: US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the project portfolio.
