RESPONSIBILITIES
This position handles the support of the Sensitive Compartment Information Facility. A Security Specialist III specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience in the fields of physical, industrial, information and personnel security participating in SAP Security Compliance Inspections and Self-Inspections.
* Reporting, documenting and investigating security incidents.
* Reviewing and applying governing policy including Executive Orders, DoD Security Directives, and the JAFAN Series.
* Communicating orally and in writing to managers, civilians and military contracts across DoD and other agencies. * Possessing the relevant experience, education, or training that demonstrates the capability to follow instructions, as well as to read, comprehend, and retain a broad range of instructions, regulations, and procedures. * Must either demonstrate this ability or have endorsements confirming their capacity to learn and perform the duties associated with the specified position. * Must show knowledge of security classification methods and concepts, eligibility criteria for accessing classified or sensitive information, the procedures for granting personnel security clearances/access, and a clear understanding of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies used in implementing information, personnel, and physical security programs related to the protection of SCI. * Should also be familiar with methods for executing duties such as conducting inspections and investigations and collecting and analyzing information. * Additionally, they must possess the skill to evaluate the effects of factors like critical personnel qualifications, differences in building construction characteristics, access and entry restrictions, equipment availability, and other elements that influence decision-making when addressing security issues and questions. Requirements * A minimum of 5 years of experience in the fields of physical (PYSEC), industrial, information (INFOSEC) and personnel security (PERSEC) participating in SAP Security Compliance Inspections and Self-Inspections in the DoD or IC. * Experience with ICD-705 compliance.
* A minimum Secret security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this position.
