Virginia Physicians for Women (VPFW) is seeking a visionary, strategic, and dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead one of the largest and most respected independent women's healthcare organizations in the Commonwealth.

For over 50 years, VPFW has been dedicated to providing exceptional care to women throughout Central Virginia. Today, the organization includes nearly 50 providers, approximately 275 employees, six practice locations, a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center, and a broad range of clinical services that touch the lives of thousands of patients each year.

This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished healthcare executive who combines strong operational leadership with creative business vision. As CEO, you will partner closely with physician shareholders, senior management team, and the Board of Directors to guide the organization's strategic direction, operational excellence, financial performance, and long-term growth. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Develop and execute the organization's long-term strategic vision.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for expansion, new service lines, affiliations, partnerships, and healthcare initiatives throughout Central Virginia.
  • Drive the organization's technology and AI strategy by identifying opportunities for innovation, evaluating emerging solutions, and implementing tools that improve operational performance, patient care, and business outcomes.
  • Lead branding, marketing, advertising, and digital engagement strategies to strengthen VPFW's market presence and patient experience.
  • Monitor healthcare trends and position the organization for continued growth and competitiveness.

Financial & Operational Excellence

  • Direct all operational, financial, and administrative functions of the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, enhance revenue, and maximize shareholder value.
  • Establish measurable performance metrics and accountability systems across the organization.

Physician & Leadership Development

  • Build strong relationships with physician shareholders and providers.
  • Collaborate with physician leadership to recruit, retain, and develop exceptional clinical talent.
  • Lead executive and management teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
  • Support physician engagement, leadership development, compensation strategies, and succession planning initiatives.

Business Development & External Relations

  • Serve as a key representative of the organization within the Richmond healthcare community.
  • Develop strategic relationships with hospitals, health systems, payers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Lead negotiations that create favorable outcomes for the organization and its physicians.

Culture & Patient Experience

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of physician practice management, healthcare finance, contracting, and regulatory compliance.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary of $200,000 to $225,000 per year
