What we need:
The Sr Director Safety is a senior-level leader responsible for leading the development and implementation of comprehensive safety strategies to create and maintain a safe working environment for employees. This role collaborates with leadership teams, regulatory bodies, and employees to ensure compliance with safety standards.
What you'll do:
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance on safety initiatives.
  • Develop and execute the organization's safety strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
  • Stay abreast of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with all applicable safety laws and standards.
  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs and policies.
  • Continuously assess and enhance safety programs to address emerging risks and trends.
  • Ensure that training materials are current and effective in promoting safety awareness.
  • Lead and oversee investigations of workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Develop and manage the safety budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Regularly interact with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning functional areas.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 12+ years' relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 7+ years of management experience.
  • Safety training and certificates are preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety disciplines, other regulatory guidelines, and common industrial safety practices.
