The Lakeland Senior Hub is a newly formed 501 (c) 3 designed to link Lakeland, Florida’s aging community to services and providers, acting as a “one stop” resource for older adults and their advocates. The Hub will provide much-needed services and programs for Lakeland’s rapidly growing senior population
We seek candidates for the Executive Director (ED) position with the goal of filling it by September 1, 2026. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for program development and oversight, volunteer recruitment and coordination, facilities management, activities planning and implementation, community engagement, and in partnership with the Board of Directors, strategic planning and implementation as well as fundraising and financial oversight.
It is important to note that this position is with a start-up nonprofit and there is no other paid staff. Accordingly, many duties of the ED will be shared with the Board of Directors and volunteers until such time as budget and programming dictate additional paid staff.
The ED must be flexible, able to adapt to changing situations and work with different stakeholders – a self-starter who welcomes a challenge. Development goals are significant.
A bachelor's degree is required, and candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills. Familiarity with local philanthropic individuals and organizations and the ability to work effectively with board members, donors, staff, and volunteers is a must.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the individual who wants to participate from the beginning in an exciting endeavor to bring a Senior Hub to Lakeland.
Work schedule and compensation will be negotiated to fit the needs of the candidate and the organization.
