Job description

Position Summary
Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and experienced Junior Information Protection Manager to support all aspects of acquisition program security throughout the program life cycle. This role ensures compliance with Government directives relating to Special Access Programs (SAPs), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and collateral security requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience implementing security policies derived from Executive Orders and DoD Manuals, and be capable of developing and maintaining a secure operational environment for government and contractor personnel. In addition, this role requires flexibility, as you will need to work various shifts to provide coverage for facilities over 24-hour periods, including weekends.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
Acquisition Program Security Support
  • Execute all aspects of acquisition program security throughout the program life cycle.
  • Develop sound security practices and policies for acquisition, physical, personnel, industrial, and documentation security.
  • Prepare acquisition security sections of program documentation and review contractor deliverables for compliance.

Security Documentation & Systems Support
  • Develop system security documents including:\ Program Protection Plans, Security Risk Analyses, OPSEC Plans, Security CONOPS, vulnerability/countermeasure analyses, and RMF-related documentation.

Program Security Management
  • Maintain and update databases tracking receipt, storage, inventory, and disposition of classified material.
  • Participate in audits of government holdings to ensure accountability and compliance.
  • Maintain visitor and clearance/access databases.

Classified Information Management
  • Conduct inspections, inventories, logging, storage, and distribution of classified information.
  • Provide security inspection and protection of classified storage areas and develop related procedures and policies.
  • Support opening/closing procedures for SCIFs, SAPFs, and other secure areas.

Personnel Security & Training
  • Review and verify personnel qualifications for special access program eligibility.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs.

Additional Duties
  • Support source selections with required security oversight.
  • Authorized to serve as CSSR, SAP PerSec Official, OPSEC Officer, or similar roles as defined in applicable security guidance.
  • Only AIPMs may record lock combinations; others are prohibited from doing so.
Required Knowledge & Experience
Experience implementing and applying policies derived from:
  • E.O. 13526, 13556, 12968 (or successor policies)
  • DoD Manuals including:
    • DODM 5200.02 (Personnel Security)
    • DODM 5200.01 Vol 1-3 (Information Security)
    • DODI 5200.48 (Controlled Unclassified Information)
    • DODM 5220.22 / NISPOM
    • DODM 5205.07 Vol 1-4 (SAP Security)
    • DODM 5105.21 (SCI Security)

Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Must have a current Secret clearance and be ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance

Education:
  • Master's + 4 years Relevant Experience OR Master's + 3 years Relevant Experience + SPeD SFPC
  • Bachelor's + 6 years Relevant Experience, OR Bachelor's + 5 years Relevant Experience + SPeD SFPC OR
  • Associate's + 10 years Relevant Experience OR Associate's + 9 years Relevant Experience + SPeD SFPC

Certifications:Must obtain Level 1 Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program Security Fundamentals Professional Certification within 14 months of hire; must be maintained throughout employment.

Technical Skills

  • Familarity with classified holdings/visitor-access database maintenance and reporting
  • Experience with classified material inspection, inventory, logging, storage, transmittal, and distribution
  • Experience with security inspections, protection procedures, and awareness training support
