Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for all aspects of the credentialing and privileged activities for the healthcare provider. Must provide consistent, accurate, and documented verification of the information provided by the provider.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list may not include all the duties that may be assigned.

  1. Obtains timely and accurate primary source verification for all credentialing functions. Maintains current databases for all providers.
  1. Demonstrate skills in attention to detail, organization, prioritizing and multi-tasking.
  1. Must be resourceful and have basic research skills to do primary source verification.
  1. Provides exceptional customer service to providers, administration, and executive staff, as well as external contacts.
  1. Must be able to meet time-sensitive deadlines and handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  1. Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt effective courses.
  1. Works independently and is self-directed.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience may commensurate education.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 2 years of credentialing experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge with NCQA standards and how to apply them.
  • Proficiency with computer skills with a focus on Word and Excel.
  • SyMed/One App Pro a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to research and analyze data.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinicians, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
