1. Maintain the site network plans;
2. Prepares computer work orders;
3. Works with site staff to keep student registration and attendance software working;
4. Monitors site computers to maintain operational performance;
5. Installs computer software and insures that software licenses are valid;
6. Coordinates training of student and other staff training on computers and networks;
7. Troubleshoots Macintosh and Wintel computer systems, hardware and software;
8. Notifies District technicians of network or server hardware problems;
9. Insure security of site data;
10. Installs new computers, memory, printers etc. and coordinates naming and I/P numbering schemas;
11. Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
1. Knowledge of Apple or Wintel computer operating systems;
2. Computer operations including security, backup, operation, printing and magnetic media;
3. Experience in operation and set up of E-mail mail systems on Wintel and Mac platforms;
4. Familiarity with serial, parallel, coax, fiberoptic, local talk, and ethernet media;
5. Experience in working with computer repair technicians and explaining problems;

Job Description / Essential Elements:
Under general direction of the site principal, maintain the technology services of the school site. Responsibilities include oversight of site computer repair, software distribution and computer training. This position orders and maintains licenses for site software, activates E-mail and Internet accounts and prepares purchase orders for computer hardware and software. This is a "hands-on" position and requires ability to install software and make computers functional. Actual repair of hardware will be done by District repair technicians.
