About Us

Manager, Electrophysiology Lab — Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital

Position Summary
Provides day-to-day operational and personnel leadership for the EP Lab, including staffing, scheduling, throughput, supply and inventory management, quality and regulatory compliance, physician relations, and budget accountability. Partners with the Director of Cardiovascular Services and CV leadership to advance departmental and system goals.

Schedule
Monday–Friday, days. Exempt. Availability required for call escalation, off-hours issues, and occasional weekend/holiday coverage needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (healthcare, nursing, allied health, or business-related field)
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in an invasive cardiovascular or EP environment
  • Must have 1+ year of supervisor or manager experience
  • Current licensure or certification appropriate to discipline — RN 
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Demonstrated experience with regulatory and accreditation standards (Joint Commission, ACC, radiation safety)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business
  • 2+ years of formal leadership experience (manager, supervisor, charge, or lead) in a cardiovascular service line
  • Direct electrophysiology experience — ablation, device implant, mapping systems, and lab workflow
  • Experience with Epic, cath/EP lab reporting systems, and productivity/labor management tools
  • Experience supporting a new lab opening or service line expansion

The Nursing Catheter Lab Manager promotes a helpful work environment. Patients, families, and staff receive compassionate care. They plan, implement, and assess policies. Manage budgets and resources, oversee improvement, and organize educational programs. They also participate in governance councils to meet priorities. This role involves providing nursing care.

Qualifications

  • Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of (3) three years of experience in a similar nursing role is required for consideration.
  • Required certifications: (ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support, (RN) Registered Nurse license, (BLS) Basic Life Support. If not BLS certified, it must be completed within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
