What You'll Do

As Executive Chef, you'll oversee the daily culinary operations while creating an exceptional dining experience for our residents by:

  • Leading all kitchen operations, including food preparation, production, plating, and service.

  • Designing and preparing creative, restaurant-quality menus for daily dining and special events.

  • Partnering with the Director of Culinary & Hospitality to manage food costs, labor, inventory, and departmental budgets.

  • Training, coaching, and mentoring kitchen team members while fostering a positive, high-performing culture.

  • Conducting daily pre-shift meetings and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during service.

  • Maintaining high standards for food quality, presentation, consistency, and guest satisfaction.

  • Ensuring compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.

  • Managing purchasing, inventory levels, and kitchen organization.

  • Collaborating with community leadership to plan and execute special events, celebrations, and marketing functions.

  • Preparing meals that accommodate residents' special dietary needs, preferences, and physician-ordered restrictions.

What We're Looking For
  • Culinary Arts degree with at least 2 years of culinary leadership experience, or a bachelor's degree with 3 years of leadership experience in a food service environment.

  • Previous experience as an Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Culinary Director preferred.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

  • Experience managing food costs, inventory, purchasing, and kitchen operations.

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Senior living, hospitality, country club, hotel, healthcare, or upscale restaurant experience is a plus.

  • Passion for creating exceptional dining experiences and developing high-performing teams.
