Position Overview

We are conducting a confidential search for an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to partner directly with the CEO of a rapidly growing, founder-led organization. This is not a traditional accounting-focused CFO position. Instead, the successful executive will serve as the company's senior financial strategist, leading enterprise financial planning, evaluating acquisitions, optimizing capital allocation, expanding a captive insurance platform, and helping build the financial infrastructure necessary to support long‑term national and international growth.

The organization operates across multiple industries and is executing an aggressive expansion strategy through mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and international growth initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of a sophisticated investment platform focused on creating long‑term enterprise value.

Key Responsibilities Enterprise Financial Leadership
  • Serve as the CEO's strategic financial partner and trusted advisor.
  • Develop long‑term financial strategy supporting continued growth.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and financial modeling.
  • Build scalable financial infrastructure across multiple operating entities.
  • Develop executive reporting and key performance dashboards.
Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Evaluate acquisition opportunities and strategic investments.
  • Lead financial due diligence and valuation analysis.
  • Structure acquisition transactions.
  • Support post‑acquisition integration initiatives.
  • Develop repeatable acquisition and integration processes.
Captive Insurance Strategy
  • Provide strategic financial leadership for the captive insurance platform.
  • Identify opportunities to expand and optimize the captive structure.
  • Partner with legal, tax, and insurance advisors.
  • Maximize long‑term enterprise value through effective capital deployment.
Investment Strategy
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and portfolio performance.
  • Build sophisticated financial and investment models.
  • Support capital allocation decisions.
  • Develop investment reporting and analytical frameworks.
  • Assist in the continued evolution of the organization's investment strategy.
Financial Operations
  • Optimize treasury and cash management.
  • Strengthen banking and lender relationships.
  • Evaluate financing alternatives.
  • Support international expansion initiatives.
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic business initiatives.
Qualifications Required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Public accounting foundation, preferably with a Big Four or nationally recognized firm.
  • Fifteen or more years of progressive finance leadership experience.
  • Executive‑level financial leadership experience.
  • Experience leading finance across multiple operating entities.
  • Exceptional communication, executive presence, and relationship‑building skills.
Highly Preferred
  • Private equity experience.
  • Captive insurance expertise.
  • Significant mergers and acquisitions experience.
  • Investment analysis and capital allocation.
  • Portfolio company leadership.
  • Commercial real estate investment experience.
  • Family office or diversified holding company experience.
  • International business operations.
  • Capital markets, treasury, and corporate finance expertise.
Leadership Profile

The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, commercially minded, highly analytical, and strategic rather than transactional. This executive enjoys building businesses, partnering with visionary leadership, making high‑impact decisions, and thriving in a dynamic, fast‑paced growth environment.

Why This Opportunity?

This is an opportunity to become the financial architect behind an organization entering an exciting stage of growth. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in acquisition strategy, enterprise financial leadership, captive insurance expansion, international growth, and the continued development of a sophisticated investment platform designed to create long‑term value across multiple industries.
