Position Summary

The Director of Cash Management is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end cash management value stream, managing $300M-$400M in cash circulation throughout Cash Depot's nationwide ATM network. This role leads a team of cash management professionals and works closely with vault cash providers, armored carriers, banking partners, and internal stakeholders to maximize ATM uptime while minimizing residual cash and operating expenses.

Reporting to the CFO, this leader will utilize analytics, forecasting, operational metrics, and strategic planning to build scalable processes and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Management & Operational Leadership

  • Lead the team responsible for forecasting, ordering, and optimizing ATM cash levels across the network.
  • Oversee the movement and management of $300M-$400M in cash circulation.
  • Utilize data and analytics to improve forecasting accuracy, minimize residual cash balances, and maximize ATM uptime.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop cash management team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for cash management team members.
  • Build a high-performing team focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with armored carriers, vault cash banks, ATM customers, and key business partners.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure service levels support company objectives.
  • Serve as a secondary escalation point for billing disputes, claims, chargebacks, and vendor-related issues.

Process Improvement & Strategic Planning

  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for the cash management department.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to recurring operational issues.
  • Support the onboarding of new customers and ATM deployments by partnering with project management and operations teams.

Reporting & Business Performance

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and key performance metrics.
  • Present departmental performance, strategic initiatives, and operational results to executive leadership.
  • Utilize business intelligence and reporting tools to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Cash Management, or related disciplines.
  • Previous leadership and supervisory experience required.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
  • Experience working with dashboards, forecasting tools, and order management systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and operational reporting tools.
  • Experience utilizing data and metrics to drive business decisions.
