Emergency Management & Business Continuity Manager
This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Company's Business Continuity and Emergency Management programs. The role leads enterprise preparedness, incident response coordination, continuity planning oversight, exercises, corrective action follow-up, and continuous improvement efforts in partnership with Corporate Security, Information Technology, Facilities, Human Resources, Communications, and business leaders to strengthen organizational readiness, minimize disruption, and support effective response and recovery during emergencies, significant incidents, technology disruptions, or other business interruptions.
Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Company's Business Continuity program, including program standards, readiness expectations, planning cadence, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Coordinates Emergency Management activities and supports enterprise incident response efforts during emergencies, significant incidents, business disruptions, or other events that may impact employees, operations, facilities, technology systems, or corporate assets.
  • Helps ensure assigned team members, including the Program Manager, and business units execute, maintain, and test Business Continuity plans, Business Impact Analyses, corrective action plans, and related readiness documentation in accordance with program standards and timelines.
  • Leads preparedness awareness, training, and exercise programs to evaluate Business Continuity, Emergency Management, and incident response capabilities.
  • Partners with the Security Operations Center to monitor, assess, and coordinate response to emerging threats, incidents, hazards, and operational risks, and utilizes emergency communications, threat intelligence, case management, and employee safety platforms, including AlertMedia, Ontic, and other technologies, to support situational awareness, emergency notification, incident coordination, and response activities.
  • Coordinates incident response activities, stakeholder communication, escalation, situational reporting, issue tracking, and follow-up during emergencies, significant incidents, technology disruptions, or business interruptions.
  • Partners with senior Information Technology leaders to support alignment between Business Continuity, Emergency Management, incident response, and Information Technology Disaster Recovery planning, including recovery priorities, readiness expectations, testing coordination, and escalation of identified gaps.
  • Facilitates the documentation of the ITDR program.
  • Facilitates After Action Reviews following exercises, emergencies, significant incidents, or business disruptions and helps ensure corrective actions are documented, assigned, tracked, and completed.
  • Maintains ongoing partnerships with Corporate Security, Information Technology, Facilities, Human Resources, Communications, Legal, and business leaders to support preparedness, response, recovery, and continuity activities.
  • Supports program metrics, readiness indicators, and maturity measures; communicates trends, risks, and improvement opportunities; and contributes to ongoing enhancement of Business Continuity and Emergency Management capabilities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Business Administration, Public Administration, Risk Management, Security Management, Communications, or related field is required.
  • Seven or more years of experience in business continuity, emergency management, incident response, preparedness planning, corporate security, risk management, or related discipline is required.
  • Experience leading programs and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across business units and corporate functions is required.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, testing, or providing oversight for business continuity plans, emergency response plans, preparedness exercises, corrective action plans, or incident response procedures is required.
  • Experience partnering with Information Technology leaders on disaster recovery alignment, technology disruption response, or recovery planning is preferred.
  • Experience supporting medium to large organizations with geographically dispersed operations is preferred.
