Job description

As a SCAD athletic trainer, you will report to the director of athletics in Atlanta and the executive director of athletics at SCAD to assess student-athletes for injuries and develop rehabilitation plans. You will create sport-specific injury prevention programs,
accurately record all student-athlete visits and treatments, and promptly and clearly communicate training limitations to coaching staff. Among other duties, you will oversee the training room, completing athlete treatments and ordering medical supplies. You will schedule pre-participation examinations for all athletes and complete required concussion baseline testing. You will also coordinate coverage for team practices and athletic events as needed.
Minimum qualifications:
• Master's degree in athletic training
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
• NATA BOC certification
• Georgia licensure
Travel required:
• 10-20%
Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
