Job description

Prime Source Expense Experts is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Account Executive to join our growing sales team. This is a consultative, customer-facing sales role responsible for guiding prospects through the majority of the sales process while serving as a trusted advisor to healthcare organizations.

The Account Executive will focus on understanding customer challenges, identifying opportunities for cost savings, presenting strategic expense analyses, and building long-term client partnerships. Unlike many sales roles, this position places less emphasis on cold prospecting and lead generation and greater emphasis on consultative selling, customer engagement, and relationship management.

This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving business problems, building executive relationships, and helping organizations improve their financial performance.

Who we are:

Prime Source Expense Experts, a Buyers Edge Platform brand, is a national GPO consulting firm helping post-acute care facilities — skilled nursing, assisted living, and rehabilitation centers, reduce costs and optimize vendor relationships across every operational category. We are growing rapidly and building out a dedicated Purchasing Department to match the scale of our member network. Buyers Edge Platform is a leading digital procurement network and solutions provider for the foodservice industry, delivering savings, insights, and technology that help operators, distributors, and manufacturers succeed. Through its portfolio of solutions—including Digital Procurement Network, Fresh Services, Software Solutions, and Supply Chain Management—Buyers Edge is reshaping how the foodservice industry connects and thrives. At the heart of our work is a culture built on a passion for collaboration, technology, and helping foodservice business succeed.

We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.

Your Impact:

  • Sales & Business Development
    • Conduct discovery meetings with prospective customers to identify operational challenges and expense reduction opportunities.
    • Lead customer presentations, including detailed reviews of cost-saving analyses and strategic recommendations.
    • Guide prospects through the sales process from initial engagement through contract execution.
    • Develop customized solutions based on customer goals and organizational needs.
    • Consistently manage an active sales pipeline and forecast opportunities accurately.
  • Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
    • Build trusted relationships with executive leadership, purchasing professionals, finance teams, and operational stakeholders.
    • Conduct regular business reviews to demonstrate realized savings and identify additional opportunities.
    • Proactively identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across Prime Source's portfolio of expense management solutions.
    • Maintain long-term customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Industry Representation
    • Represent Prime Source at regional and national trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
    • Travel to customer locations for meetings, presentations, and business reviews.
    • Stay informed on healthcare purchasing trends, vendor programs, and industry best practices.
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Work closely with Expense Associates and Sales Support to ensure customer analyses are completed accurately and efficiently.
    • Communicate customer priorities and timelines to internal teams.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and pipeline activity within Salesforce.

About you:

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Healthcare
    • Senior Living
    • Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs)
    • Procurement or Supply Chain
    • Expense Management
    • Consultative B2B Sales
  • Proven ability to build relationships with executive-level decision makers.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Ability to understand financial analyses and communicate business value.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).

Preferred

  • Experience working with post-acute care providers, senior living operators, hospitals, or healthcare vendors.
  • Experience presenting ROI or financial savings analyses.
  • Knowledge of purchasing contracts or healthcare procurement.

What Makes You Successful

  • Relationship-focused rather than transactional.
  • Comfortable presenting to executives and leadership teams.
  • Naturally curious and consultative.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple customer opportunities simultaneously.
