Job description

Ewald Consulting has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Executive Director/Associate Account Executive (AAE). The AAE will be responsible for the day-to-day operational execution for several professional associations. This position works closely with the client Executive Director/Account Executive, client volunteers and internal team to help our clients meet their strategic goals. Primary Duties and Responsibilities


  • Assist the Account Executive in all areas of association management for the client
  • Act as secondary liaison between client organizations (Board, Volunteers, Committees) and internal client team
  • Manage specific strategic initiatives working with Board of Directors in areas such as member value, member benefits, revenue diversification, benchmarking, strategic programs and customer intelligence programs
  • Prepare and manage client financial budgets; ensure adherence to budget guidelines and objectives
  • Prepare and present status reports and dashboards to track organizational progress and offer solutions to enhance probabilities for success
  • Encourage and assist volunteer leaders, assist client boards in recruiting talent to board and committee work and manage volunteer programs
  • Daily communication with staff, members, board members, sponsors and committee members
  • Strong ability to support volunteer members and partner sponsors to drive a strong sense of community and collaboration
  • Identify and develop candidates for board and committees; recruit, interview and on-board candidates to board positions to ensure smooth transitions


Required Qualifications and Education


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in association management or related experience
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical skills
  • Solid PC experience with Windows operating system and a variety of software programs
  • Demonstrated organizational and leadership experience working in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Program management experience
  • Financial management experience
  • Time management skills


Preferred Knowledge and Skills


  • Working knowledge of content management systems (i.e.: Your Membership)
  • A consultive mindset and approach to client service
  • An eye toward continuous improvement
  • A team-player mentality
  • AI fluency, including working knowledge of generative AI tools and the ability to use them responsibly, in compliance with company policies and professional standards


Working Conditions and Environment


  • Some travel is required
  • Primarily a general office environment, but onsite client events and meetings is required
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $50,000 to $70,000, depending on experience.
