The Courtyard by Marriott Waterbury Downtown, managed by Moody National Management LP is currently looking for an Executive Housekeeper to join our team.ย

Summary:

The Executive Housekeeper plans and manages the Housekeeping Department of the hotel to achieve high levels of guest and employee satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals.

Essential Functions:

โ€ขย  Effectively manage department employees; hire, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, and motivate employees; conduct performance reviews; resolve problems; take disciplinary action; and recommend terminations of employment, as necessary.

โ€ขย  Develop weekly staffing schedules to optimize productivity.

โ€ขย  Take inventory and maintain supply levels at par; order supplies and equipment for the department, as needed.

โ€ขย  Contribute to the development of the departmentโ€™s annual budget; monitor actual results to meet/exceed goals.

โ€ขย  Implement Company or Brand programs in accordance with established procedures to ensure a high level of quality and customer satisfaction and comply with all related Federal/State laws and regulations.

โ€ขย  Resolve guest complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.

โ€ขย  Implement emergency procedures and training to ensure appropriate protection for hotel guests, staff, and Company assets.

โ€ขย  Other duties as assigned by management.

Skills:

โ€ขย  Solid supervisory skills, especially in the areas of scheduling, coaching, and counseling.

โ€ขย  Ability to read and understand written instructions to carry through housekeeping tasks.

โ€ขย  Basic proficiency with Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

โ€ขย  General understanding of budgetary processes.

โ€ขย  Good command of the English language; second language proficiency desirable

โ€ขย  Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

โ€ขย  Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Education and Experience:

โ€ขย  2+ years of experience as a supervisor preferred.

โ€ขย  All positions must also complete any additional training required by manager or as assigned by the Brand or Moody.
