STEP 2: Interview

Interviews at PAYETTE consist of a candidate meeting with two members of the interview team, which includes Principals, Associate Principals, and Senior Associates. The interview allows the team to learn more about the candidate’s background, experience, and qualifications, while also giving the candidate an opportunity to learn about the firm’s design philosophy, project portfolio, and studio culture.

STEP 3: Decision

Following the interview, the interviewers prepare a summary of their notes and share it with the full interview team for discussion. The summary includes overall impressions, ratings across four competencies (design, communication, technical, and program), and a recommendation regarding whether to extend an offer. After the full interview team discusses each candidate, a final hiring decision is made.

It has come to our attention that employment scams are becoming more common. Electronic communications from PAYETTE will always come from someone with a ‘PAYETTE dot com’ email address and we will never ask for any employment forms, particularly those requesting personal information such as social security or bank account numbers, to be completed in advance of the completion of our hiring process.
