Job description

We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager for our Texas & West Coast Territory!
The Regional Sales Manager is individual contributor role, with a hunter mentality, responsible for leading actions to grow the company's sales and distribution in their assigned territory from capital equipment to aftermarket parts and services, serving as their customer's trusted advisor and single point of contact for all Cantell-Gainco products. This role is 70% new business and 30% account management.
Responsibilities include client acquisition, setting up appointments with key executives and plant personnel, cultivating key relationships at every level of customer operations, building and maintaining a diverse funnel, delivering excellence in customer experience and satisfaction, and achieving revenue growth objectives.
Incumbent will initiate and execute key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans. Successful execution of these is required to achieve the following annual targets: overall territory revenue, capital equipment bookings, aftermarket revenue growth, service agreement penetration, pipeline value and funnel health, customer acquisition and forecast accuracy.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties & responsibilities of the Regional Sales Manager include, but are not necessarily limited, to the following:
  • Cultivate selling opportunities for Cantell-Gainco's suite of capital equipment, service agreements, parts sales, rebuilds, customer training, and service labor.
  • Maintain frequent onsite presence at customer plants and consistently deliver a value-added experience through outcome-driven scheduling, planning, and preparation.
  • Work with internal pricing, marketing, and product teams to deliver compelling tenders, tactical sales and marketing campaigns and steering the product and contracting plans to ensure they are meeting customer needs.
  • Contribute to the creation of revenue and business planning as well as continually monitoring processes and best practices with an employee-owner mentality.
  • Partner with clients to understand and proactively deliver on their business needs and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate our value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Collect market intelligence and feed it back into the marketing organization.
  • Accurately forecast future sales and form sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace.
  • Proactively solve internal and external business problems, preventing the organization from achieving sales targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have a strong background of regional sales experience (B2B)
  • Poultry processing industry experience is preferred
  • Experience selling in a highly technical, production environment
  • Experience using CRM software suites such as Dynamics or Salesforce
  • Strong analytical skill set
  • Highly motivated with a track record of exceeding targets
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to instigate the sales process with consistent appointment setting
  • Proven ability to articulate the value proposition of distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Demonstrable experience developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • This role requires extensive customer-facing travel, typically 3-4 days per week, within the assigned territory
