Executive Assistant

VTG is seeking an Executive Assistant in Arlington, VA (Pentagon). The Executive Assistant position performs a variety of administrative duties providing mission support in one or more functions or business areas. This position will be 100% onsite. What will you do? Executive Assistant will provide executive-level services including office management, calendar and schedule management, travel planning and processing, correspondence management, human resource management, security support, resource management, and event support. Manage office schedule and calendar of appointments for Senior Executive(s); Create schedule related products (schedule forecast, day card, daybook); Assist in planning, scheduling, organizing, and execution of meetings, events, conferences, and off-sites; Prepare travel/training arrangements and process travel vouchers for Senior Executive(s) for both domestic and international travel within the Defense Travel System; Prepare Trip books with details and read-aheads; Answer routine telephone calls, direct calls and take messages; Greet and escort visitors – ensure visit requests and clearances are submitted; Retrieve, sort, and distribute incoming mail, newspapers, faxes, and other publications/documents; Support development of official correspondence File briefings and papers Draft, proofread, edit and coordinate correspondence; Maintain tracking records and filing systems; archive files; Participate in meetings and events; Assist in ordering supplies/equipment and arranging for office equipment repairs; Draft documents such as instructions, spreadsheets, presentations, and reports.

Do you have what it takes? Must have and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; 3-5 years of experience support a Senior Executive (SES or Admiral/General); Must have a High School Diploma; Ability to communicate effectively and concisely; Ability to participate productively as a contributing member in a team environment; Strong interpersonal skills; Must have DoD experience; Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite; Knowledge of proper English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure to ensure that written materials prepared and reviewed are complete, succinct, and formatted correctly; Experience with Defense Travel System (DTS) supporting both CONUS and OCONUS travel for a Senior Executive.
