Together, we?re planting the seeds of progress and nourishing a fresh, healthy future for everyone!JOB SUMMARYRoutinely operate a standup forklift, sit down forklift or reach truck lift to receive, load, unload, and move stock, inventory, or equipment as needed within a warehouse, production, or packing house environment. Duties include:Job Description:Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, or other machineryInspects equipment before use and reports malfunctions, repairs needed, or concerns.Maintain inventory of supplies.  Rotate stock as required.Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying informationRead work orders to receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or equipment needs.Stack cargo in locations as required using forklifts, pallet jacks, or cargo boards.Ensures that all equipment is in safe and operating status.  Ensures that any issues are addressed and corrected in a timely manner.Identify damage and report shortages and quality deficiencies.Transport raw materials, ingredients, or inventory to workstations. Complete paperwork as necessary and promptly.Observes mechanical devices in operation, listen to their sounds, and may troubleshoot equipment to locate causes of trouble.Supervise and ensure that the warehouse is cleaned on a regular basis including waste disposal as necessary.Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager or Warehouse ManagerInspects equipment before use and reports malfunctions, repairs needed or concerns.Maintain inventory of supplies. Ensures that any issues are addressed and corrected in a timely manner.Identify damage and report shortages and quality deficiencies.Transport raw materials or inventory to workstations.Supervise and ensure that the warehouse is cleaned on a regular basis including waste disposal as necessary.Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager.Perform weekly cycle counts and make system adjustments.Conduct any search to locate products within the system.Use the handheld scanner to complete inventory moves and physical adjustments.Performs other duties as needed.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSMust have a high school diploma or equivalent education.Previous experience on forklift preferred Experience using an Inventory Scan gun and Warehouse Inventory System is preferredAbility to become a certified operator before operating equipmentMust have a clean driving record and be able to operate equipment safelyExperience working in a chilled food factory or related environment is preferredGood knowledge and understanding of Safe work practices common to the tradesBilingual (Spanish / English) helpfulBasic computer skills (Word and Excel) preferred. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIESKnowledge of safe work practices in a food warehouse or manufacturing environmentAbility to work in a cold/ damp environment for extended periodsMust be able to complete common paperwork related to shipping, receiving, and material handlingA Abil computer-generated reportsMust have strong interpersonal and employee relation skillsAbility to read, comprehend and speak professionally with team membersMust have basic mathematical skills Our Values: As we continue to grow and provide leading edge products to our customers, we understand hiring the right people and treating them well is critical to our success.
