Job description

Role summary:
This person will report directly to the Production Operations Manager and will be responsible for the operation of their assigned production/pilot heat treatment equipment. In the role of Thermal Processing Operator, you will be joining a world-class Production team that is delivering innovative solutions to tough problems.
This position is fully onsite working at our Riverside facility in Chattanooga, TN.
Available shifts include:
• A Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday
• B Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday
• C Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday
• D Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday
Responsibilities include:
• Monitors furnace through reading gauges and an HMI or PLC
• Collects samples and delivers to laboratory for analysis
• Operates a forklift or pallet jack to move materials around the production area
• Documents data in Excel spreadsheet
• Follows SOPs and safety procedures (willing to comply with Safety guidelines regarding NOVONIX's facial hair policy to be free from facial hair or clean shaven in accordance with the respiratory program requirements for half-face and full-face respirators)
• Assists in the replacement of parts and preventative maintenance
• Maintains logs
• Identifies potential issues with assigned equipment
• Maintains clean work area
• Assists and supports management in commissioning and startup of new equipment
• Other duties as assigned
