Job description

Build What Others Won't.
Most people can install pipe.
Very few people can safely excavate around utilities, solve problems underground, restore a customer's property with pride, and leave knowing they made a lasting impact.
We're looking for professionals who take ownership-not shortcuts.
If you're the type of person who shows up early, works safely, takes pride in craftsmanship, and refuses to leave a job unfinished, keep reading.
If you're looking for a company where average effort is enough, this probably isn't the right fit.
The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Excavation Specialist / Plumbing Installer to perform residential excavation, underground plumbing installations, sewer and water service replacements, and drainage projects while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This role is critical to our success. You'll operate equipment, coordinate with teammates, communicate with homeowners, and ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Every job is someone's home.
Every customer deserves your best.
What You'll Do
You'll be responsible for:
  • Performing residential excavation safely and efficiently
  • Replacing water service lines
  • Installing and replacing sewer lines
  • Installing underground drainage systems
  • Repairing underground plumbing systems
  • Operating mini excavators, skid steers, trenchers, compactors, and other excavation equipment
  • Reading blueprints, utility markings, and site plans
  • Locating existing utilities and excavating safely around them
  • Working with inspectors and ensuring projects meet local code requirements
  • Restoring landscapes, driveways, sidewalks, and work areas upon completion
  • Communicating project progress with homeowners
  • Collaborating with plumbers, supervisors, dispatch, and warehouse teams
  • Maintaining vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment
  • Following all OSHA and company safety procedures
  • Completing accurate job documentation, photos, and paperwork
  • Protecting customer property throughout every stage of the project

What Success Looks Like
Our best team members:
  • Own problems instead of avoiding them
  • Stay calm under pressure
  • Take pride in clean, organized job sites
  • Think several steps ahead
  • Care about customers as much as the installation
  • Communicate professionally
  • Help teammates succeed
  • Leave every property better than they found it

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of residential excavation or underground plumbing experience
  • Experience replacing sewer and water service lines
  • Experience operating excavation equipment
  • Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems
  • Ability to read utility locates and excavation plans
  • Knowledge of plumbing and excavation safety standards
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred
  • Plumbing license or certification
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • Experience with trenchless technologies
  • Experience operating larger excavation equipment
  • Traffic control certification
