Job description

Syntropy Navigator

The Role

Kalungi is looking for a Syntropy Navigator, a marketing leader who thrives on bringing clarity from complexity. This role reimagines the CMO as a Chief Syntropy Officer: instead of managing campaigns, you keep teams aligned, purposeful, and coherent in a world where AI and systems run much of the execution.

You’ll lead without relying on authority, guiding by clarity, presence, and trust. The Navigator helps teams see both the forest and the trees, ensuring every action compounds into long-term value.

Work Directly with the Founder

This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with Stijn Hendrikse, co-founder of Kalungi and author of T2D3 and Syntropy.  As a Syntropy Navigator, you won’t just apply these frameworks - you’ll help shape, pressure-test, and evolve them in real time. You’ll collaborate closely with Stijn on client strategy, executive conversations, and thought leadership, gaining direct exposure to how modern CMO-level decisions are made and executed.

For the ambitious candidate, this is more than a role - it’s a springboard. It’s an apprenticeship into the CMO world, where you learn not only the mechanics of growth but the mindset required to lead it. The pace can be fast, the thinking rigorous, and the expectations high - but for someone hungry to grow into executive marketing leadership, the experience and proximity to strategy at this level can be transformational.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Syntropy Map: Define who the company serves and why the work matters.
  • Guide through influence: Lead with clarity and trust, not control.
  • Align the team: Coach Scribes, Sculptors, and Engineers toward coherent execution.
  • Translate strategy into action: Keep purpose and direction intact across projects.
  • Conduct executive-level conversations: Validate direction with leaders and stakeholders.
  • Amplify coherence: Ensure every initiative connects to the larger vision.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 5+ years in marketing leadership, brand strategy, or executive advisory roles.
  • Leadership: Skilled at influencing and aligning teams without positional authority.
  • Strategic Thinker: Able to balance vision with execution and maintain coherence.
  • Industry Familiarity: Knowledge of B2B SaaS and complex buyer journeys.
  • Coaching Ability: Effective at guiding specialists toward unified direction.
  • Mindset: Curious, empathetic, and resilient—able to turn ambiguity into clarity.
  • Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite (HubSpot a plus).

A Note on Video Introductions & Cover Letters

At Kalungi, we value syntropy - bringing order, clarity, and purpose to the work we do. Your cover letter and video introduction are your first opportunity to do the same: to shape a clear, intentional story about who you are and how you create impact. The video doesn't have to be elaborate!  Get out your phone and take a spontaneous "selfie video".  Don't overthink it.  Applicants who have lackluster cover letters or who fail to provide a video intro will be disqualified.
