Position Specific Summary
The Student Administrative Assistant I serves as a point of contact for Disability Support Services (DSS), providing front desk customer service and essential support for Test Proctoring Services.
Primary duties include:
Greeting visitors, answering phone and email inquiries, assisting students and faculty with general Test Proctoring Services, and maintaining a welcoming, professional office environment.
Administering online, typed, and written exams while strictly upholding GW's Code of Academic Integrity; actively monitoring testing areas and promptly reporting violations to DSS staff.
Receiving, logging, securing, filing, and scanning exam materials before and after testing sessions across designated campus locations.
Communicating effectively and empathetically with faculty and students regarding exam schedules; assisting with office administrative tasks, communications, and student outreach as assigned.
Standard Position Description
The student will serve as an administrative assistant and perform tasks to support the operations of the the office or department. Tasks may include: assembling materials, filing, photocopying, giving directions or information, responding to phone or email inquiries, scanning and/indexing documents, light data entry, and other general office tasks. Special projects or duties may be assigned related to specific office needs.

Required Qualifications
This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Graduate (Master's) or Ph.D. program.
- This role requires a commitment of 20-hours per week.
- Based on your schedule, please indicate which shift you prefer (ex. Shift 1, Shift 2 or Shift 3).
- Shift 1: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
- Shift 2: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Shift 3: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
