Job description

Director of Exam Prep Huntington Learning Center, Cedar Park

Lead the exam prep program at Cedar Park. You own SAT/ACT student score outcomes, the teaching staff behind them, and the parent conversations around them.

Reports to: Owner

Responsibilities

  • Own score improvement. Set a target per student, track practice test data, and adjust plans when a student is off pace.
  • Diagnose and prescribe. Administer entrance diagnostics, interpret results, and build a customized study plan for every student.
  • Build the teacher bench. Train, observe, and coach exam prep tutors. Set the bar for a good session and hold people to it.
  • Lead family conversations. Make score reports make sense.
  • Manage the testing calendar. Map every student to a target test date and sequence their plan backward from it.
  • Stay on top of digital SAT/ACT format and scoring.
  • Cover teaching gaps. Fill in for sessions when a teacher is out. Not a regular caseload.
  • Support enrollment. Partner with the front desk on exam prep inquiries and help close qualified families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 90% or higher on the Huntington entrance exam (non-negotiable)
  • 3+ years teaching SAT prep or other relevant teaching experience
  • Experience managing or mentoring other teachers
  • Strong personal test scores preferred (SAT 1450+)
  • Available weekday evenings and Saturdays
