Job description

Our Austin, TX office has an immediate opportunity for a Civil/Roadway Engineering Specialist to join our Roadway Design Team. This position is well-suited for an early-career engineer seeking hands-on experience supporting transportation and infrastructure projects throughout Central Texas and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and review of roadway, highway, and site development projects

  • Support roadway geometrics, modeling, and cross-section development

  • Contribute to grading, drainage, and stormwater management design

  • Assist with erosion and sediment control plans

  • Support traffic control plans, traffic studies, and signalization layouts

  • Prepare signing, pavement marking, and utility coordination plans

  • Assist with preparation of plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), and schematic design documents

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

  • 0-4 years of relevant roadway or civil engineering experience preferred

  • Successful completion of the FE exam / Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification

  • Experience or exposure to MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, InRoads/GEOPAK, Microsoft Office; AutoCAD a plus

  • Active participation in professional societies encouraged

  • Ability to perform essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safety

Compensation Range:

$75,656.68 - $86,464.77
