Job Description: PL/SQL Developer
1) Oracle Database development â 8 years
2) Exadata Platform experience â Minimum 2 years

This is a PURE DEVELOPER ROLE â NOT DBA.

Manager does not want to see a junior candidate or anyone too senior that is in a lead position.
This person needs to do the hands-on work.Â

REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary from Manager
Typically requires 8+ years of relevant experience
â Development skills include:
â Database and database programming on an Oracle Exadata platform.
o Oracle PL/SQL programming.
o Development using Oracle Analytical functions
o Scripting: Perl or Shell
o Scheduling: Autosys, other
â Performance tuning of Oracle database programming
â Technical Analysis: root cause, impact, and design.
â AWS familiarity would be beneficial but not mandatory.
â Stays current with many best-of-breed technologies
â Programs proficiently in several languages and is comfortable switching between them
â Shows a commitment to quality by implementing suitable software using unit/integration and acceptance testing at the time of feature development
â Develops data models or schemas from scratch and knows of key concepts such as ACID, Normalization, and Transactions
â Debugs large components with limited assistance and assists other engineers with debugging
â Leads code reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others' designs/code
â Performs as an expert in one or more parts of the software lifecycle (e.g., coding, testing, deployment). Oversees significant pieces of development within the development lifecycle
â Designs and develops practical APIs and abstractions.
â Owns technical debt
