Position Details: This non-exempt position works 196 days per year, 8 hours per day. The position comes with treasurer responsibilities with a $1,751 annual stipend.

Annual, incremental pay increases are given for each year of service with the EVSC in this role if an employee has worked at least 120 days in a school year. New employees will begin on year 1.

EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate.
This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan. Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan.
Eligible employees may enroll in the EVSC group life insurance and long term disability plans. EVSC also offers a variety of voluntary insurance products through American Fidelity.
EVSC offers a free Employee Assistance Program (EAP). It is a confidential, voluntary service that provides professional counseling and referral services designed to help employees and their family members with personal, job or family-related matters.
SUMMARY: Serves as secretary and treasurer to the director of athletics and student activities and assists in coordinating needs of the various coaches.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Answer routine phone inquiries, takes messages, and routes calls.
- Serve as treasurer for the athletic department.
- Type, prepare and create reports, distribute mail and other information, files, maintain records, prepare correspondence, mailings, awards, and other clerical work as related to needs and building functions.
- Maintain team rosters, programs for events, schedule travel and coordinate food for teams.
- Sell tickets for all school events.
- Coordinate hospitality rooms/banquets.
- Coordinate graduation and senior nights for athletics.
- Assist in maintaining concession stand supplies.
- Cross train with secretaries in the school office and serve as backup as needed.
- Present a pleasant, helpful attitude toward staff, students, parents, and visitors and respond to inquiries.
- Take advantage of in-service training to improve and upgrade skills.
- Maintain regular attendance.
JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Ability to perform basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Google systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form.
- Ability to work independently, to function effectively in a multi-task environment, and to interact positively with students, staff, and the public.
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district and state requirements and Board of School Trustees policies.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Previous office experience preferred.
