Summary/Objective
The Vice President of Finance is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the organization's financial strategy, planning, and operations. This role partners closely with the VP of Accounting, CEO, and executive leadership team to drive sustainable growth, ensure financial health, support strategic decision-making, and managing relationships with banks and lenders to optimize financial performance.
Essential Functions
  • Lead the company's overall financial strategy, planning, and forecasting
  • Oversee budgeting, financial modeling, and long-range financial plans
  • Manage and maintain relationships with banks, lenders, and other financial institutions
  • Serve as primary point of contact for credit facilities, lines of credit, and loan agreements
  • Negotiate bank terms, fees, and credit arrangements to optimize cost of capital
  • Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital structure
  • Oversee accounting, tax, audit, treasury, and financial controls
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Ensure compliance and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Partner with department leaders to align financial goals with business objectives

Working conditions
Work Environment
This job typically operates in a professional office environment, however much of the job is done travelling. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. The employee must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Some travel is expected with this position.
Education and Experience
  • 10+ years' experience in a financial leadership position.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required.
