Job description

Cottage is a 4 room Ambulatory OR with operational times of 7a-4p. The site covers a wide range of services such as:
- Ortho: Sports Medicine, Total hips and knees, Podiatry and Hand
- Plastics: Breast augmentation, Breast Reduction, Liposuction, Face lifts and laser surgery
- Ophthalmology: Cataract, Retinal and Ocular Plastic
Position: 40 hours per week; No weekends, holidays or on-call requirements
Shift: Days
Location: Cottage, Grosse Pointe
Benefits: Full Time Benefit Package
Preferred experience: Circulating and scrubbing in the Operating Room
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
BSN preferred.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
One year of OR experience is required.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
Health care provider certification (BCLS).
