The Plate Mounter plays a key role in producing high-quality flexible packaging by ensuring printing plates are mounted accurately and efficiently for flexographic presses. This position is all about precision, preparation, and teamwork—setting the press up for smooth runs and top-tier results.

What You’ll Do
  • Review job instructions and confirm all materials (cylinders, plates, sticky-back, sleeves) are ready before setup
  • Mount plates with accuracy and consistency to ensure proper registration on press
  • Set up and operate mounting equipment in alignment with job requirements
  • Inspect completed proofs for accuracy in layout, copy, and registration
  • Follow production schedules to prioritize and complete jobs on time
  • Track and record job times and activities accurately in the system
  • Communicate any discrepancies, concerns, or improvements to the Shift Leader or Supervisor
  • Perform routine equipment checks, housekeeping, and assigned preventative maintenance
  • Partner with Maintenance when repairs or issues arise
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support team operations by assisting in other areas as needed
  • Share knowledge and support the development of less experienced team members
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement

Performance Expectations
  • Uphold a strong safety culture with a goal of zero incidents
  • Follow GMP and food safety standards with no repeat violations
  • Achieve quality standards within first 90 days and maintain consistency thereafter
  • Mount plates efficiently (target: 15 minutes per plate by 90 days)
  • Maintain 90% or greater efficiency in ongoing performance
  • Follow attendance expectations as outlined in company policy
  • Properly care for equipment, ensuring zero damage
