Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guest service to Ebb & Flow Restaurant areas, Evermore Bay Beaches, and Cabanas.
  • Create a welcoming and attentive atmosphere, engaging with guests, and addressing their needs. Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, attentive, and professional manner.
  • Anticipate when guests require additional service.
  • Provide recommendations on beverage selections and answer any questions about the menu.
  • Tailor food and drink orders to meet guests' preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Accurately take guests food and beverage orders ensuring any special requests or dietary restrictions.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns gracefully, seeking solutions to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Serve a variety of cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks with precision.
  • Follow standardized recipes and techniques to ensure the highest quality of beverages.
  • Garnish drinks creatively to enhance their presentation.
  • Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, attentive, and professional manner.
  • Provide recommendations on beverage selections and answer any questions about the menu.
  • Tailor drink orders to meet guests' preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Always maintain a clean and organized station, including stocking and replenishing supplies.
  • Ensure that glassware, plateware, silverware and equipment are clean and in good working condition.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations for all F&B outlets.
  • Menus can be extensive and may change frequently. Servers need to be well-versed in the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods and any specials.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in mixology and beverage culture.
  • Possess a deep understanding of different types of spirits, wines, and liqueurs.
  • Educate guests about the history, origin, and characteristics of various drinks.
  • Must stay current with resort operations and food & beverage trends.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Verify the legal drinking age of guests and refuse service to those who are underage or intoxicated.
  • Recognize signs of intoxication and handle situations appropriately.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of food and drinks.
  • Collaborate with other staff to maintain a well-organized and efficient operation.
  • Assist in training new servers and staff, if required.
  • Suggest premium or specialty drinks to enhance their dining experience and increase revenue.
  • Promote special promotions, wine pairings, and other offerings as directed by the management.
  • Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas; Complete side work as assigned.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders to guests.
  • Provide information about hotel amenities, promotions, and activities to guests.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless order preparation and delivery.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments, giving change, and closing tabs.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to expand knowledge of beverages, menus, and customer service skills.
  • Communicate with Food & Beverage Team Members to ensure consistent guest service and needs are met.
  • Engage in a positive guest focused environment.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, and complete safety training and certifications. Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Monitor guests need and proactively work with other departments & leaders to provide additional services, such as fresh towels, sunscreen, or water.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bayside area, including clearing empty plates, glassware, and debris.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down poolside service stations and equipment, Bayside Cabanas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills and Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 2-4 years of hospitality and serving experience, customer service focus, resort setting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and upselling.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage items, including menu offerings.
  • Physical ability to carry trays, navigate outdoor environments, and stand for extended periods.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and basic math skills for handling payments.
  • Food, alcohol, and safety certifications under FL requirements. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
