Job description

Terrain Event Servers are at the heart of each event, providing exceptional service from ceremony to final toast. This is a fast-paced, team-focused role ideal for hospitality professionals who love creating memorable guest experiences and thrive in an elevated service environment.  


  • Support the specific set up of dining room, patio/bar, and ceremony/garden areas 

  • Execute moving tables and chairs during transitions and breakdown for every event  

  • Provide warm, polished, and intuitive guest service during passed appetizers, tableside wine, and for buffet, plated or family-style meals. 

  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, as well as tables and seat numbers, for all food running, especially during entrée service  

  • Bussing glasses, dishes, silverware, and trash from all event tables to the kitchen 

  • Refilling, restocking, and transitioning all stationary food and beverage displays as needed  

  • Drying, polishing & putting away all equipment used during the event 

  • Maintaining clean and organized service stations 

  • Represent the Terrain brand with professionalism and care at all times 


  • Transportation: Reliable transportation required 

  • Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs, able to stand/move for 8–10 hours, and work both indoors and outdoors. 

  • Availability: Must be available on weekends, some holidays and work a minimum of 3 shifts/month during peak season (April–December). 

  • Scheduling: Weekly recurring availability required; Typical Shift: 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM 

  • Flexible, proactive, and collaborative team attitude necessary  

  • Comfortable with formal event moments (speeches, dances, etc.) 

  • Experience in food service; upscale hospitality, catering, fine dining, weddings or banquet service a plus
