Job description

Position Title: CTWD Event and Promotions Assistant
Department: Center for Talent & Workforce Development
Reports To: Assistant Director of CTWD
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Center for Talent & Workforce Development (CTWD) is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Work-Study Student Assistant to support daily operations, marketing initiatives, and special projects. This role provides hands-on experience in workforce development, program promotion, and administrative support while contributing to initiatives that connect education with career pathways.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Marketing & Outreach Support
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials (flyers, email campaigns, social media content, and event promotions)
  • Support updates to CTWD webpages and program listings
  • Help coordinate outreach efforts to students, community partners, and employers
  • Assist with event promotion for job fairs, workshops, and certification programs

Daily Operations & Administrative Tasks
  • Provide general office support including organizing files and data entry
  • Assist with student registration processes and tracking program participation
  • Maintain organized records and assist with reporting needs
  • Support communication with students, instructors, and partners
  • Collaborate with team members on new program ideas and improvements

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED EXPECTATIONS
Projects & Program Support
  • Assist with assigned CTWD projects and initiatives as needed
  • Support planning and execution of workforce programs, training sessions, and events
  • Conduct basic research on workforce trends, competitors, or program opportunities

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Be enrolled as full-time student at Schreiner University.
  • Marketing Skills and experience with Canva and Social Media Campaigns. Light Excel Knowledge
