Yes& is seeking an Events Manager to join the team!
The Events Manager plays a central role in delivering successful client experiences, leading the planning and execution of events from concept through completion. Working closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners, this position ensures all aspects of event delivery are strategically aligned, well-coordinated, and executed to the highest standard. The Manager oversees project workflows, manages logistics and creative deliverables, and serves as a key point of contact for clients, making this an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented, solutions-driven professional with a passion for event marketing in a fast-paced agency environment.
Experience/Skills/Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, event management, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in event and/or account management related to events in the agency or events industry.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, events, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, budget-conscious, and solutions-focused, with the ability to anticipate needs and troubleshoot challenges in real time.
  • Strong client management and communication skills, with the ability to serve as a key point of contact, build trusted relationships, and translate client goals into thoughtful event strategies and experiences.
  • Experience managing events from planning through execution, including venues and vendors, contracting, branding and onsite signage, registration and attendee management, travel, staffing, run-of-show, creative deliverables such as graphics and video, production timelines, and on-site delivery.
  • Experience managing event budgets, tracking expenses, supporting financial reporting and reconciliation, and identifying post-event insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to independently lead assigned work while effectively coordinating internal teams, external partners, vendors, and contractors.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, research, and interpersonal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel based on client portfolio and event needs, typically 4–8 events per year.

  • Brings a positive, solutions-oriented mindset with creativity, curiosity, flexibility, and a willingness to jump in where needed.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment and remains calm and resourceful under pressure.
  • Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams, including creative, digital, communications, production, and strategy, as well as external vendors and freelance partners.
  • Experience with event technology and registration platforms such as Cvent, Swoogo, RingCentral Events, Zuddl, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience with Mac computers and Keynote preferred.
  • D.C. Metro area strongly preferred; hybrid and remote work options may be available.
