Job description

Hotel Group Sales Manager

Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa & Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel
Remote/Hybrid | Southeastern U.S. Preferred | Travel to Mobile, Alabama as Needed

Build Relationships. Drive Revenue. Represent Two of Mobile's Premier Marriott Hotels.

PCH Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Group Sales Manager to drive new group and catering business for the Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa and Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel.

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely, making it an excellent opportunity for an accomplished hospitality sales professional based in the Southeastern United States. While this role is primarily remote, you'll travel to Mobile for client visits, site inspections, major events, and collaboration with hotel leadership. Quarterly on-property visits are required at a minimum to participate in sales meetings, strategic planning, and team engagement.

If you have a proven track record in Marriott group sales and enjoy building relationships, securing new business, and delivering exceptional client experiences, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Generate new group and catering business through strategic prospecting, networking, client visits, referrals, trade shows, and industry events while consistently achieving individual sales and revenue goals.
  • Build lasting client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process—conducting site inspections, presenting customized solutions, negotiating contracts, and delivering exceptional service from first contact through event completion.
  • Own the complete sales cycle by preparing proposals, executing contracts, maintaining accurate sales documentation, and ensuring a seamless turnover to Event Management and Operations.
  • Partner with Revenue Management, Event Management, Operations, and Reservations to deliver flawless event execution, maximize guest satisfaction, and optimize hotel profitability.
  • Leverage Marriott sales systems, market intelligence, and competitive insights to identify new business opportunities, maximize revenue, and support the commercial success of both hotels.
  • Represent PCH Hotels & Resorts with professionalism and integrity while strengthening client relationships, expanding market presence, and creating memorable experiences that generate repeat business and long-term loyalty.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Successful sales experience within a full-service Marriott hotel is strongly preferred, with a proven background in Group Sales, Catering Sales, Executive Meeting Management, or Business Development. Comparable luxury or upscale hotel experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated success managing the complete group sales cycle—from prospecting and qualifying opportunities through contract negotiation, event planning, turnover, and post-event follow-up—while consistently achieving revenue and production goals.
  • Hands-on experience with Marriott sales and reservation systems, including CI/TY, MARSHA, Delphi, Marriott Global Source, eProposals, Passkey, and related eTools, or the ability to quickly leverage comparable hotel sales platforms.
  • Strong understanding of group room blocks, meeting space, food & beverage, audiovisual services, event logistics, billing, and contract management, with the ability to identify upselling opportunities that maximize revenue and enhance the client experience.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills with outstanding organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Based in the Southeastern United States with the ability to travel throughout the region and to Mobile, Alabama, as business needs require, including quarterly on-property meetings and additional visits for client events, site inspections, and strategic planning.

Why Join Us?

As part of PCH Hotels & Resorts, you'll represent two of Alabama's premier Marriott hotels while enjoying the flexibility of a remote role backed by an award-winning hospitality organization recognized for Hospitality with Heart & Soul.

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive bonus
  • Flexible remote work with regional travel
  • Comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, FSA/HSA, and Short- & Long-Term Disability
  • Paid Holidays, PTO, and 401(k) with company match
  • Marriott hotel discounts worldwide plus dining discounts across PCH Hotels & Resorts
  • Tuition reimbursement and exceptional leadership development and career growth opportunities

If you're passionate about hospitality sales, thrive on building relationships, and are excited by the opportunity to represent two exceptional Marriott hotels, we'd love to connect with you.
