Job description

Restaurant & Events Supervisor

We are searching for a mature, experienced and highly organized Front of House Supervisor to join a well-established golf, restaurant and event operation in the London area.
This is much more than a traditional restaurant supervisor position. We are looking for a versatile hospitality professional who enjoys leading people, coordinating events, improving the guest experience and helping promote the business through social media and creative marketing. This is a hands-on leadership role with significant responsibility and autonomy. The successful candidate will be someone who sees what needs to be done, takes initiative and follows through.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the front-of-house restaurant team during daily operations
  • Train, coach and develop servers to deliver friendly, efficient and consistent service
  • Assist with staff scheduling, labour management and day-to-day FOH operations
  • Coordinate golf tournaments, leagues, special events, restaurant functions and private bookings
  • Help ensure events are properly organized and executed from planning through completion
  • Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and effectively
  • Work closely with culinary, golf and management teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Create and manage engaging content for the property's social media channels
  • Assist with promotions and creative initiatives designed to increase restaurant, golf and event business
  • Maintain schedules, event information and operational details using spreadsheets and digital tools
  • Work confidently with POS systems and troubleshoot common technology issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve service, organization and overall guest satisfaction
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience within restaurants, hospitality, golf, events or a similar environment
  • Previous serving experience with a demonstrated ability to train, coach and develop service teams
  • Experience coordinating events, functions, tournaments or private bookings
  • Mature, dependable and confident leadership style
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently
  • Comfortable using technology and learning new systems
  • Experience with restaurant POS systems and basic troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Comfortable using Facebook, Instagram and Canva or similar content-creation platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent guest-service and interpersonal abilities
  • Valid Smart Serve certification
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays and special events
Who Will Succeed in This Role?
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety.
One day you may be leading a busy restaurant and patio shift; the next you could be coordinating a tournament, training a new server, organizing an upcoming event, resolving a POS issue or creating a social media post promoting the business.
You'll thrive in this position if you are hands-on, resourceful, organized and comfortable taking ownership without needing constant direction.
Compensation & Perks
  • $60,000–$65,000 annual salary, based on experience
  • Tips, when applicable
  • Health benefits
  • Vehicle allowance
  • Cell phone allowance
  • Golf privileges
  • Meal allowance
  • A varied leadership position with significant responsibility and autonomy
  • Opportunity to contribute ideas and have a direct impact on the guest experience and growth of the business
About the Operation
This is an established public golf, restaurant and event destination in the London area, offering a busy restaurant and patio along with golf leagues, tournaments, private functions and special events.
The operation is known for providing a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining a strong commitment to value, hospitality and excellent guest service. This is a full-time position with scheduling flexibility based on the needs of the operation.
