Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the overall setup of event spaces for games and special events.
  • Operate various gameday roles and positions including but not limited to; the Football Shuttle Cart Service, and Fan Information Booth, Stadium Roamer, Fan/Staff Liaison, Ball Shagger, Team Liaison.
  • Post necessary signage on specified areas for events, including: entry signage, team logos, timing sheets, directional diagrams, etc.
  • Assist in the delivery of game day meals to proper locations.
  • Meet and host officials and visiting teams.
  • Escort game personnel to and from the area of play.
  • Assist with post-event tear down.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Facilities and Event Management staff.

Work Environment

This job operates in both a professional office environment and outside at KAI related events, including inclement weather. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and various digital devices, including, but not limited to:ย cell phone, printer, copy machine, and other related devices. This job requires flexibility and adaptability in schedule and the ability to perform job related duties on short notice.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This position may require frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds; standing up to eight hours each day; and working in all weather conditions.

Hours of Work

This is a part-time position.ย Days and hours of work will vary based on the needs of the sports programs and as job duties demand.ย ย  Early morning, evening and weekend work is sometimes required.

Requiredย Qualifications

  • Current University of Kansas student in good academic standing.
  • Availability to work most football and men's basketball home events.
  • Valid driver's license.

  • Major or coursework in a related field.
  • Federal Work-Study eligible.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and academic breaks as needed.
