Job description

Events Coordinator
Optimum Human + Southwest Women's Oncology | Albuquerque, New Mexico
Why This Role Matters
Events are where relationships get built in real life.
Across the Optimum platform, events drive provider engagement, patient community, research participation, and brand presence. From CME programs that bring referring providers into the room, to United to Cure Cancer fundraisers, to community outreach-every event is an impression no digital campaign can replicate. The Events Coordinator owns the planning and execution of that entire portfolio, ensuring every event reflects the Optimum standard: well-organized, professionally executed, and built to grow relationships. We hire for attitude and aptitude above all else.
Who We Are
Southwest Women's Oncology (SWWO) is New Mexico's leading gynecologic oncology practice, delivering advanced cancer care with skill, courage, and compassion.
Optimum Human and Optimum Infusion extend that mission into performance medicine, infusion services, longevity, recovery, hormone optimization, medical weight loss, peptide therapies, hyperbaric medicine, aesthetics, and human performance.
Together, we operate as a single integrated platform committed to one mission: to deliver new possibilities in medical care, human performance, and health by uniting passion, knowledge, and skill.
What You'll Own
Provider Events & CME Programs
Plan and execute CME programs, lunch-and-learns, and provider engagement events from concept to close-out-coordinating venue, catering, A/V, printed materials, speaker logistics, and attendee management.
Community Outreach & Fundraising
Plan and execute community outreach events, sponsorships, and United to Cure Cancer fundraising initiatives. Manage community and sponsor relationships and report event ROI to leadership.
Logistics & Vendor Management
Own all event logistics end-to-end. Maintain preferred vendor relationships across catering, A/V, print, and event services. Manage event budgets with precision and report against targets.
Cross-Entity Coordination & Reporting
Maintain a rolling event calendar across all entities. Ensure every event has pre-event promotion, on-site branding, and post-event follow-up. Produce structured post-event summary reports and build institutional knowledge that sharpens future execution.
What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days
  • Event calendar and vendor relationships established; active involvement in first provider event or CME program end-to-end.
  • Strong working relationships developed with clinical, marketing, and operations teams.

First 6 Months
  • Full event portfolio executing on schedule and on budget.
  • Post-event documentation and reporting established as standard practice.

First Year
  • Recognized as the event execution authority across the Optimum platform.
  • Consistently embodying the Optimum Standard.

Who Thrives Here
We want people who bring relentless positivity, a hunger to learn, and the drive to elevate everyone around them. You will likely thrive if:
  • You take ownership rather than waiting for direction.
  • You believe details matter.
  • You enjoy solving problems and seek continuous improvement.
  • You care deeply about patients and their families.
  • You value teamwork and accountability equally.
  • You're coachable, curious, and committed to mastery.

What You Bring
Required
  • 2+ years of event planning or coordination experience with demonstrated end-to-end ownership.
  • Strong project management skills; comfortable managing multiple events at different stages simultaneously.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships across catering, A/V, print, and event services.
  • Budget management experience with accurate spend tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable working with physicians, clinical staff, community partners, and vendors.

Preferred
  • Healthcare, medical education, or CME program coordination experience.
  • Experience supporting nonprofit fundraising or community sponsorship programs.

Our Culture
We act with courage and embrace accountability.
We serve with precision and hold ourselves to impeccable standards-then raise them.
We reject mediocrity and the comfort of "good enough."
We measure success not only by outcomes, but by the integrity, excellence, and humanity we bring to every interaction.
Way Better. Extraordinary by Design.
If you crave mastery, meaning, and measurable impact - welcome home.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary
  • Health benefits
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Professional development and continuing education support
  • Opportunity to grow within the Optimum Platform
