POSITION SUMMARY
The Casino Marketing & Events Associate is an early career opportunity designed for individuals interested in building a career in marketing within the hospitality and entertainment industry. This role provides hands on experience supporting casino promotions, tournaments, events, and guest engagement initiatives that drive casino demand and enhance the overall guest experience.
Working under the direction of the Manager of Demand & Loyalty, the Associate plays a key role in bringing marketing campaigns to life. The position supports the planning and execution of promotional programs, assists with casino events and entertainment activations, and collaborates with multiple departments to ensure marketing initiatives are organized, communicated clearly, and executed successfully on property.
This role offers exposure to several dimensions of casino marketing including promotions strategy, guest engagement, event execution, marketing communications, and operational coordination. It is designed to help develop foundational skills in marketing operations, hospitality management, and cross functional collaboration within a fast-paced casino environment.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Promotions & Marketing Campaign Execution
    1. Support the planning and execution of casino promotions, tournaments, and marketing programs designed to increase guest visits and rated play.
    2. Assist in developing promotional mechanics including eligibility criteria, earning structures, prize distribution, and redemption processes.
    3. Help translate marketing campaign concepts into clear operational plans that allow multiple departments to execute successfully.
    4. Contribute to the organization and coordination of marketing initiatives that drive casino demand and guest engagement.
  2. Casino Events & Guest Experience Activation
    1. Support the coordination and on property execution of casino events, entertainment activations, tournaments, and special promotions.
    2. Collaborate with operations, guest services, and other departments to ensure events are properly scheduled, staffed, and prepared.
    3. Provide on site support during events to ensure activities run smoothly and deliver a high quality guest experience.
    4. Assist in documenting event outcomes and observations to support continuous improvement of future marketing initiatives.
  3. Cross Departmental Collaboration
    1. Work closely with internal teams including gaming operations, guest experience, food and beverage, hotel operations, and special events to support coordinated marketing execution.
    2. Maintain and communicate the promotions and events calendar to provide planning visibility across departments.
    3. Assist in coordinating marketing related purchasing and promotional materials through the procurement system.
    4. Support marketing projects that require coordination across multiple teams and operational areas of the casino.
  4. Marketing Content & Campaign Support
    1. Assist in the development and coordination of marketing materials including promotional signage, digital displays, website content, and printed collateral.
    2. Support the review and proofing of marketing materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with approved promotional mechanics.
    3. Coordinate with creative and digital resources to ensure marketing content is delivered on time and supports promotional campaigns.
  5. Email Marketing & Database Engagement
    1. Assist with the development and distribution of targeted email campaigns promoting casino events, tournaments, and promotional programs.
    2. Support the maintenance and organization of marketing databases used for guest communications.
    3. Help maintain records of campaign communications to support reporting and future marketing planning.
  6. Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
    1. Support promotional and marketing activities in accordance with California gaming regulations and internal compliance standards.
    2. Assist with EMS Self Exclusion processes including account barring or reinstatement activities within the Bravo system when required.
    3. Maintain organized documentation to support internal audits and regulatory reviews.
  7. Marketing Operations & Administrative Support
    1. Maintain organized records of marketing activities, promotional plans, and campaign documentation.
    2. Assist with scheduling, coordination, and tracking of marketing projects and initiatives.
    3. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Demand & Loyalty.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with an emphasis in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or related field; or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
Work Experience Required: Experience in marketing, events, hospitality, customer service, administrative support, or a related field, with demonstrated ability to assist in coordinating projects or supporting events. Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and following established processes and guidelines is preferred. Prior exposure to casino, hospitality, or entertainment operations is a plus but not required.
Other Requirements:
Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities. Ability to proofread and edit marketing materials for accuracy and consistency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, procurement systems, and database tools preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
SCHEDULED HOURS
Commerce Casino operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. Schedules may vary depending on business needs.
