Description
This individual will market and facilitate community events as well as execute marketing initiatives for the City of Holland and Holland Parks & Recreation. The assistant receives supervision and assignments from the Recreation Program Coordinator; however, the assistant is encouraged to develop innovative ideas to promote and grow the organization.
Examples of Duties
• Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns to promote a variety of events, programs, and initiatives.
• Assist in developing and scheduling content for social media platforms.
• Capture high-quality photo and video content at programs and events for use across social media and digital marketing channels.
• Represent the organization at community events by coordinating and supporting on-site marketing activations.
• Oversee the planning, coordination, and on-site supervision of community events hosted by the organization.
• Assist with maintaining and updating the organization's website and online event calendars.
• Identify, solicit, and secure sponsorships through outreach, relationship building, and partnership development.
• Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with employees, community members, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
• Provide excellent customer service while serving as an ambassador for the organization.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
