Job description

Now hiring a Part-Time Event Setup Attendant to join our team in Lakeland, FL! This is a flexible, part-time position — hours and days vary based on the event center's schedule, and we do our best to work around your availability.
Pay: $14.00/hr — increasing to $15.00/hr on 9/27/26
Schedule: Part-time. Hours and shifts vary depending on event needs — may include irregular hours, evenings, overnights, and weekends (on-call). We work with your schedule where possible.

Responsibilities:
Reports to Operations Manager/Supervisor
Cleans and maintains all areas of the event facility, inside and out
Sets up and tears down events per event orders and center standards
Handles janitorial duties before/after events, including restrooms and storage/staging areas
Maintains, assembles, and stores facility equipment
Prepares and breaks down event spaces (tables, chairs, linens, drapery, decor, centerpieces)
Assembles dance floors; arranges buffets, stages, and podiums
Assists banquet staff with table clearing and A/V team with equipment setup
Removes and stores soiled linens properly
Maintains cleanliness of storage rooms
Attends required department/division meetings
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. frequently
Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
Flexible schedule availability
Reliable transportation required
Strong teamwork skills
