Job description

The PR & Events Assistant supports the day-to-day execution of public relations, VIP, influencer, editorial, and event initiatives that help drive brand visibility and awareness. This role assists with sample coordination, media outreach, event logistics, reporting, and administrative tasks while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of key brand moments.

Responsibilities:

VIP / Celebrity / Influencer & Editorial Support
  • Assist with outreach to VIP, influencer, and editorial contacts under the direction of the PR & Events team.
  • Coordinate sample requests, shipments, returns, and tracking for VIP, influencer, and editorial opportunities.
  • Support VIP fittings and assist during key brand events, including New York Fashion Week, retail activations, ambassador campaigns, and content shoots.
  • Maintain accurate records of VIP placements, editorial features, and earned media coverage.
  • Monitor incoming requests and help coordinate communication with internal partners to ensure timely responses.
  • Assist with maintaining contact lists and updating media databases.
Press & Editorial
  • Support seasonal and timely pitching initiatives by preparing materials and coordinating sample requests.
  • Assist with showroom appointments, press previews, and editorial meetings, including scheduling and guest list management.
  • Coordinate the distribution of high-resolution imagery, product information, credits, and press materials.
  • Track editorial placements and compile regular coverage reports for internal distribution.
  • Help organize press kits, lookbooks, and seasonal marketing materials.
Events
  • Assist with planning and execution of brand events, retail activations, and PR initiatives.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including guest RSVPs, supplies, vendor communication, and on-site support.
  • Help maintain event timelines, budgets, and planning documents within internal systems.
  • Support VIP dressing coordination before and during events as needed.
Cross-Functional Support
  • Partner with Retail, Wholesale, Atelier Direct, Design, Social, and Content teams to support ongoing PR initiatives.
  • Assist with preparing presentation materials, strategy decks, event recaps, and reporting.
  • Coordinate image requests and content approvals with internal creative teams.
  • Track invoices, expenses, and purchase requests to ensure timely processing.
Administrative Support
  • Manage daily sample trafficking, including outbound shipments, returns, confirmations, and inventory updates.
  • Monitor and distribute press coverage, VIP placements, influencer mentions, and earned social media coverage.
  • Research industry news, trends, and competitor activity for internal reporting.
  • Assist with maintaining PR calendars, media lists, and departmental files.
  • Support onboarding and coordination of interns when applicable.
  • Build proficiency across internal systems, including Launchmetrics (Fashion GPS), ShopMy, Smartsheets, and Concur.
Desired Background:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Internship or up to 1 year of experience in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Fashion, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous internship experience within fashion, luxury, retail, or agency environments is a plus.
