Job description

Event Coordinator + Bartender (Hybrid Role - Part-Time)
Location: 1329 Wisconsin Ave, Grafton, WI 53024 (in-person; nights & weekends required)
We're seeking a reliable, organized, and people-focused team member to support events at Ember Social, a coworking space and event venue in downtown Grafton.
This hybrid role combines event setup, coordination, bartending, and general support tasks to help deliver exceptional experiences for private parties, corporate events, and special public events. Ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is excited to work with guests and vendors alike.

Key Responsibilities
Event Coordination & Execution
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of events (furniture, dรฉcor, signage, supplies)
  • Ensure event spaces are clean, organized, and ready before guests arrive
  • Greet and assist guests during events with professionalism and warmth
  • Support the event lead or General Manager with vendor coordination and timeline execution
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve issues on the spot to maintain event flow
  • Communicate clearly with team members and clients before, during, and after events

Bartending & Hospitality
  • Serve as bartender for private, corporate, and special public events
  • Set up and restock bar areas with beverages, ice, and supplies
  • Mix and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and NA beverages with consistency and care
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar area
  • Follow all responsible beverage service laws and internal policies

General Venue Support
  • Assist with opening/closing duties before and after events
  • Help maintain inventory and track event supplies
  • Contribute ideas for improving efficiency, guest experience, and event operations
  • Provide light office/admin support as needed between events

Qualifications
  • Experience in event planning, hospitality, or customer service preferred
  • Previous bartending or service experience is a plus (training available)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Must be 18+ and eligible to serve alcohol in Wisconsin
  • Available evenings and weekends based on event schedule
  • Able to lift 25+ lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
