Overview

The Event Service Staff plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing professional and efficient food and beverage service during events. Their primary function is to ensure that all guests feel welcomed and attended to, following event specifications and service standards. From the setup of banquet spaces to the seamless execution of meal service, they maintain an acute focus on detail and hospitality. Event Service Staff work collaboratively with kitchen and event staff to ensure the timely delivery of courses, adapt to guest needs in real-time, and uphold the ambiance and quality of the event. Beyond serving, Event Service Staff contribute to the overall success of events by maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the service. They are responsible for resetting spaces for subsequent events and ensuring that all equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately.

This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00 - $15.00 and is tip eligible.

This is a seasonal role that will start on August 10, 2026, and will end on December 10, 2026.

This position will remain open until October 9, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Reads and understands banquet event orders. 
  • Provides fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with standards of service.
  • Initiates and maintains friendly and professional contact with guests, ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met.
  • Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with standards of service.
  • Maintain an inventory for both food and beverage stations. 
  • Maintain all event areas and front-of-house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner.
  • Participate in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items. 
  • Works independently during slower times.
  • Perform safe work by helping to provide a safe and clean work environment. 
  • High level of social contact and deal often with patrons. 
  • Ensures that work is accurate and complete. 
  • Maintains a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude. 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED is strongly preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted. 
  • 1 year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred. 
  • Texas Food Handlers Required and TABC for Alcohol Service 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays. 
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). 
  • Must be able to stand for extend periods of time. 
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects often.
  • Must be punctual with consistent attendance. 
  • Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies.
