Job description

The Savannah R-3 School District has an immediate opening for a Performing Arts Center Manager to oversee the daily operations, scheduling, and use of the district's performing arts facilities. This position will coordinate events, support school and community programs, maintain a safe and welcoming facility, and ensure the Performing Arts Center is prepared for a wide variety of performances and activities.  This is an extra duty position, not intended to be full time employment. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations and scheduling of the Performing Arts Center.
  • Coordinate events, rehearsals, performances, and facility use.
  • Work with school staff, performers, community organizations, and outside groups.
  • Coordinate facility setup, equipment, custodial needs, and event logistics.
  • Monitor and maintain facility equipment, furnishings, and performance spaces.
  • Assist with basic sound, lighting, staging, and technical operations.
  • Ensure safety procedures and district policies are followed.
  • Report maintenance and repair needs.
  • Maintain schedules, records, inventories, and related documentation.
  • Assist with event setup, teardown, opening, and securing of the facility.
  • Provide a professional and welcoming experience for facility users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
