POSITION SUMMARY
The Production and Event Manager, by performing personally or delegating and under the general supervision of the Director of Operations, will provide professional client services support in the planning, organization, and management of events of all sizes within the facility, while interacting with clients, facility staff and related personnel to assure all event needs are fulfilled. The role will monitor the logistics of these events, and all event coordination tasks after events are booked through the conclusion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meets with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and/or events and looks for opportunities to promote all features/services of the stadium to increase profitability.
  • Communicate with clients to obtain necessary technical requirements for developing and executing a plan to create diagrams, fulfill riders, conduct advances, schedule and supervise labor calls, and process equipment orders for events and other event related information.
  • Guides clients in preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies and procedures.
  • Serves as primary liaison between clients and facility departments.
  • Keeps clients informed as to status of deadline schedules, including but not limited to event timelines for department staffing confirmations, meeting room set-up specifications, tour request finalization and technical needs confirmations.
  • Coordinates activities with various service contractors, other service providers and external entities as needed for assigned meetings and/or events.
  • Monitors events, maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events. Follows-up on all client requests, concerns, and problems. Provides recommendations for process improvements within facility offerings.
  • Supervise event day staff and oversee all aspects of facility operations related to assigned meetings and/or events.
  • Prepares cost estimates and final billing.
  • Assists in training event services staff.
  • Assists and seeks efficiency in scheduling operational set-ups and strikes to provide and remove equipment or service needs and increase profitability.
  • Attends appropriate planning, organization and other event and facility meetings in support of facility operations.
  • Works collaboratively with and provides clear, concise, and timely communication of detailed requirements to arena departments.
  • Research, review, and recommend equipment, materials and supplies required in providing production and event services and planning.
  • Serves as manager on duty as required.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The position has supervisory responsibility overseeing on-site event staff as needed based on the event.
  • Will conduct interviews, training and performance reviews of department employees as well as create schedules and assign tasks to Event Coordinators.
  • Supervise the local IATSE part-time employees during conversions, show calls and daily operations with ability to supervise large groups and/or many small groups at the same time.
  • The Production and Event Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global policies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • At least 2 years related experience and/or training.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of facility management, services, and equipment for a similar facility. Venue management (arena or stadium) experience preferred.
  • Concert and live production event management experience preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, planning, and solution focused skills.
  • Knowledge in facility capabilities and event related services, including technical requirements (staging, rigging, IATSE, NFPA Code) of major concerts, family shows and sporting events.
  • Experience in the principles and techniques of supervision, training, and other administrative duties.
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflict, make common sense decisions and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations.
  • Strong leadership skills reflected in professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.

COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge using AutoCAD or similar and Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and to interact with all levels of staff including management.
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays.

COMPENSATION
Competitive salary between $45,000-$55,000, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
