Jewish Collaborative Services (JCS), is seeking a compassionate, organized, and mission-driven Nutrition & Food Security Program Manager to lead innovative programs that address food insecurity, combat social isolation, and strengthen community connections for older adults and individuals with differing abilities.

This is more than a program management role. Every day, you will help ensure that vulnerable community members receive nutritious meals, meaningful social engagement, and access to services that support independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

The Program Manager oversees a diverse portfolio of community-based nutrition and engagement initiatives, including Meals on Wheels, the Kosher Senior Café, the Kindness Café workplace inclusion program, and senior activities and events. Reporting to the Chief of Programs, this position provides operational leadership, staff supervision, volunteer management, compliance oversight, and community partnership development while ensuring exceptional participant experiences.

What You'll Lead
  • Meals on Wheels, providing nutritious kosher meals and wellness connections to homebound seniors.
  • Kosher Senior Café, fostering nutrition, friendship, and community engagement.
  • Kindness Café, a workplace inclusion initiative supporting individuals with differing abilities.
  • Senior activities, events, and enrichment programming that reduce isolation and promote healthy aging.
What You'll Do
  • Manage daily operations across multiple nutrition and food security programs.
  • Supervise program coordinators, support staff, volunteers, and program participants.
  • Mentor, train, and support a dedicated volunteer workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and kosher kitchen requirements.
  • Monitor budgets, reporting requirements, program outcomes, and grant-related documentation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, vendors, and service providers.
  • Create welcoming, engaging environments that promote dignity, belonging, and wellbeing.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand food security services throughout the community.

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree with at least three years of relevant experience also considered. 

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in food service, senior services, nonprofit program coordination, or a related field. 

  • Experience in meal planning, inventory management, volunteer supervision, and community programming is strongly preferred. 

  • Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or other at-risk populations required. 

Certifications & Licenses 

  • Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) required upon hire or to be obtained within a specified timeframe. 

  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with adequate auto insurance coverage required.Â
